Tom Utschig: Bio

Tom Utschig has developed and evolved a career in music on a local, national, and international level as a drummer, singer, producer, engineer, bass player, teacher, clinician, Director of Music, and Worship Leader. Tom earned his Master of Music Degree in Jazz Pedagogy from the University of Miami, and Bachelor Degree in music from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Tom's performance credits include blues legend Luther Allison, Buddy Miles, Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, the Mills Brothers, Kai Winding, and Frank Rosolino, and has performed regularly with Wisconsin based artists like Susan Julian, Deirdre Fellner, Barbara Stephan, Greg Koch, the Mr. Lucky Swing Syndicate, and the All-Star Superband. Tom has been a staff musician for the past 8 years at Milwaukee's Festa Italiana backing such artists as Al Martino, Deana Martin (daughter of Dean Martin), Aaron Caruso, Dick Contino, Tony Spavone, The Four Aces, The 3 Tenors, Moreno Fruzetti, and Frank Tenaglia. Tom has engineered and produced over 20 CDs for artists throughout Wisconsin, has been nominated by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) for Best Percussionist, and was the President/Chairman of the Wisconsin based musician relief organization 'Jam 4 S.A.M.', which worked closely with MusiCare's, the musician relief branch from the GRAMMY's. As Worship Pastor Tom regularly leads worship at Wellspring Community Church in Hartford, Wisconsin. His knowledge and mastery of many distinct styles of music makes Tom an in demand performer and music resource.
